It is with great sadness that we write with the news that Paul Rayner died peacefully at home on Thursday 21st January 2021, surrounded by his family, and only shortly after Canon Aidan had visited him and administered the last rites

Paul had been associated with Norwich Cathedral as a Chorister, server and head server for over 70 years. He will be greatly missed in the life of the Cathedral, by those who knew him, and especially those who sang and served with him. His funeral was held at Norwich Cathedral following his body laying at rest in St Luke's' chapel.  The funeral can be seen on the Norwich Cathedral YouTube channel, available on the link below, and we hope that in due course, when it is safe to do so, the choir, servers and ex-choristers will be able to play their part.

The Norwich Cathedral Ex-Choristers Guild express their heartfelt condolences to Ann and all of Paul's immediate and extended family, whilst also being thankful that many of us were privileged to have known Paul through singing, serving and the Cathedral community.  Please click on the link below to read the tributes from those who knew Paul.

Our newsletter is published 2 to 3 times per year.  We are always keen to hear from ex-choristers with news, musings, memoires or indeed any information that you may wish to share with other members of the Guild.  The most recent editions can be found by clicking on the links below:
